It was a complete shit on Sunday. I don't need to remind you of that, FAITHFUL READER. The only saving grace was that Aaron and I were so high up that it was hard to see the action. However, we were in the 300s and I wish it was the 600s. The worst part as that they hurt my son, who was sitting next to me during the fourth quarter muttering "I can't fucking deal with this."

The Fouts jersey didn't bring us luck last week, although I did find the original photos of my Superfans induction from 2002.

It truly looks like a 1970s Comic Con group shot.

However, I would like to thank the NYC Charger fans for having us. It's scary that I once WAS the Charger group in NY.

This was the plaque I had in Canton. It's the only time I ever wore face paint. As I wandered around drunk and lonely before the Super Bowl, someone was doing it for free. I think it was for both teams.

Thanks to my loving wife for taking the photo with the Fouts bust. Back to the present, I can't believe that we ONLY lost by 3 points. It felt like 30. Given what happened to Malik Nabers, I guess we should feel lucky that Alt isn't out for the year. Just like with Mack, it looked so much worse.

I confess I don't remember which play this was. It is an insane pick of Johnston looking like he's being raptured. It's crazy how good he's been this year. I saw someone post the shot of him knocked out in the preseason and wondering what he was thinking about. Sadly, his ascent has coincided with a bit of a sophomore slump from Ladd. Again, I was so high up that I couldn't see McConkey's drops. Aaron assured me that they were really that bad and all in spots where we had to have a gain.

That was the story of the game overall. The Giants made the plays they had to make. I heard Lorenzo Neal say on the Bleav In podcast with Matt Smith that he thought the Chargers overlooked the Giants. I know he said the same thing at the Pro Bowl after 1/14/07. I really have a hard time thinking Harbaugh would let that happen. As I said last week, I know we can't win every one, but I didn't think we'd come in unprepared especially when it was clear what the Giants needed to do to win.

Is it just one game? We'll find out tomorrow. It's a must win. I won't push the panic button--yet. They cannot let Herbo get shelled like that again. We'll talk next week before Aaron and I get ready for Miami.

JIC,

RLW
