Here's a few bits for those who asked before the book comes out on Tuesday. First is the back cover shot, by William Cormier from Utica on 12/12/78 on the Budokan tour. Of course this was not what the tour was billed as but essentially was. This was Cheap Trick supporting a live album that was an import and eventually released domestically in February of the following year. So maybe that was the true Budokan tour (everything until Dream Police was finally released on 9/21/79).
Like all the photos in the book, I wish this shot could be seen in all its HD glory. Bill kindly lent me the negative and my friend Ross Edmond cleaned it up as best as he could. It's a great photo from a relatively unknown show.
Rick was promoting the album at WOUR FM in Utica as well during this stop. Anyway, the book comes out on Sept. 3 so I hope everyone has a great Labor Day.
I really appreciate any interest and hope the intro tells people what to expect.
